Can’t wait to go back! This isn’t the first time I’ve had A Taste of Laos but it was the first time I Dined in. We are from a part of the country that is filled with different ethnicities of Asian so we love and know real authentic Asian food and know the difference between the cultures. I will start with saying I think you are served more food in dining purely based on how much they can only fit in the to go containers. The dining in portions are VERY GENEROUS. We ordered chicken fried rice, egg rolls, drunken noodles and Pad basil. All were so amazing and tasted delicious! Very flavorful and loved how they shaved the chicken instead of other cutting methods. In the dining room they played lounge music covers of popular songs. It made me feel like I was somewhere else besides this lil small town and enjoyed it so much I tried to look for the playlist or channel but couldn’t find it unfortunately. The staff was also very friendly and pleasant. The temperature inside was also cool on a muggy and humid day.

Delicious food BUT they need better ventilation in the building. It gets all smoky from the cooking. It was bothering my eyes so much I wanted to open a door!!!

A Taste of Laos recently moved to a new location, and it’s a fantastic upgrade! The food remains amazing, and they now offer fountain drinks with refills, which is a great addition. Portions are generous, and the staff is always friendly and happy to answer questions about their authentic Laotian cuisine—a true gem in the Waco area. I had the Spicy Noodles with Chicken, and they were delicious! Be warned, even the ‘medium’ spice level packs a punch, so if you’re unsure, go with ‘mild.’ My partner had the Fried Pork Belly plate with fried rice and absolutely loved it. Everything is made to order, and they’re great at accommodating dietary restrictions. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Have seen this place a few time and finally gave it a try. It's really good! My fiance has a peanut allergy and when asked they were able to accommodate easily. I got the shrimp pho and it's to die for! Definitely coming back here again!

Only complaint about this restaurant is their lack of options on door dash. They can make some dishes gluten free, but that’s not an option on the door dash app and they’ve disabled special requests. Very frustrating as a customer whose loved one is gluten free. Once this is fixed I will come back and change to 5 star.

Loved it!!!! I’m a bit tough to please with Asian food since I got spoiled by getting to eat so much wonderful food in Asia and having many very generous friends from Asian nations who have fed me their national fare. I’m no expert but this food was wonderful!!! Easy to park. Located at a gas station so not where you would go for ambiance but it is the definition of amazing hole in the wall restaurant that you can’t WAIT to taste again. We were greeted upon walking in. The cashier was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. The food came out very quickly! Large portions. I got the homemade Lao noodles with beef, my husband got the Lao sausage with sticky rice. Our friends got the teriyaki chicken and the fried rice. We all noticed that the food had that wonderful wok char depth of flavor and the sauces had lovely complexity to them rather than being just sweet or just spicy or salty. Someone from the kitchen also very generously brought us a free, surprise plate of eggrolls, which were so crispy and full of flavor. Thank you very much taste of Laos! We will definitely be back!
